London – Investor group pays $100 Million for a diamond encrusted “real skull, built from 32 platinum plates and 8,601 diamonds, using a hand laser to cut thousands of tiny diamond settings. The work has a 52-carat pink diamond at its center and is studded with 14 pear-shaped diamonds.” I wonder if the guy who volunteered his skull realized he was going to have more bling than Ludacris!?

White Power Chant rings out at a high school in Colorado during a class discussion about Immigration. Students at Holy Cross High School do anything but display the holy spirit when they began to chant racial slurs directed at students who were of a Mexican-American ethnic background. According to an email sent to 9NEWS, “Hispanic students in the class at the time asked to leave, but were forced to stay in the classroom.”

Colorado School Bans Tag on School Playgrounds.
I am so tired of all this politically correct, trying not to hurt anyone’s feelings, trying to be as safe as possible crap that is in our schools, work places, and places of worship. I mean when is it going to end. I realize that we live in a day in age where children are forced to grow up faster due an quickly every changing society and safety is most definitely an issue when children are at play, however, shouldn’t we allow children to play the games that innocent and fun on the playgrounds? Heck, when I was young we played with lawn darts and paint chips!

This Cant be good. Last year the Aggies a season that wasnt anything short of “So-So.” After 5 years you would think that Coach Fran would have his stuff together. If we lose our season opener to freakin backwoods Montana State, this season is going to be very depressing.
Cigars: Fight for your Cigar: Hillary Clinton Hates Us Tuesday, Aug 28 2007
Hillary Clinton and presidential race 2008 and tax cigar tax, cigars 8:03 pm

In recent months there has been a scare in the cigar community after congress devised a bill that would essentially tax the cigar industry into extinction. This proposed tobacco tax is geared so that cigars would be hit hardest because of volume. So far it has passed in congress and the senate, but is waiting for Bush’s approval. Bush, being a cigar smoker and Republican, has vowed to veto this bill. FYI: It was a Democrat that devised the bill. Hillary Clinton, one of the largest proponents of the tax, is now with the stance in her presidential campaign that she is for the banning of smoking in ALL public places. Listen, I am all for the banning of smoking in places where 10% or more of their revenue comes for food sales, but where is this going to stop? Cigars are not like Cigarettes. I am a cigar smoker. I enjoy socializing and good conversation. Is the only place where I will be able to enjoy both at the same time going to have to be reduced to doing so in my own living room? What is your stance on the issue?

A&M ranks third in U.S. News – News
Anyone who knows me knows how I feel about my Alma Mater, Texas A&M University. Here is a really interesting article that was written about the school.
The 2008 edition of “America’s Best Colleges,” published by U.S. News & World Report, ranked Texas A&M University third nationally among public universities in the “Great Schools, Great Prices” category. A&M also came in 23rd among all national universities, both public and private

Confessions of the Facebook addict – Opinion
This is a really interesting article on the way our generation communicates. Being in the internet marketing industry, I am online all day, everyday. I interact on a daily basis this change and how our generation now relies, almost completely, on social networks to keep our friends up to date. It is a smaller, faster moving world in which ideas travel with the touch of a fingertip. New web-based applications dedicated to keeping our friends informed such as Vibe.com, Pounce.com, the new AOL vSide Beta Application, and Twitter.com pop up almost daily.

Billy Chapman puts on one of the most chill, down-to-earth performances on earth. He does a few cover songs, but for the most part, writes all of his own music and talks about the circumstances that inspired him. He mixes several genres such as Blues, Rock, Folk, and picks his acoustic with vibrant Flamenco rhythms. If you have a chance, check out his next intimate perforance. Billy is local to the Florida area (he is from Melbourne, FL) so check out his schedule is on his website.

This weekend I discovered a really amazing band at the Orlando House of Blues: SAUCE BOSS and the INGREDIENTS, which is led by Blues and Rock musician Bill Wharton. Bill is a sixty-something musician that has toured for over 17 years and is nothing short of an amazing performer. Literally bouncing off the walls, Wharton was in the crowd interacting with the ladies while singing the fun Rock-Blues song “She’s a Monkey (literally grooming thier hair like a monkey would), wailing a guitar solo while standing up on the bar, and literally cooking up a vat of Gumbo for the audience during the performance! It was really interesting how he incorporated the Gumbo in that he made the analogy that the audience, like the world is very eclectic or made up of all types of people and, like the gumbo with all its ingredients thrown into a big pot, should be able to get along and enjoy the finer things in life such as music genre that started it all, The Blues.
